ABOUT

There's nothing more frustrating for a beginning sewer than having big plans for the perfect dress - picking out the pattern, painstakingly cutting it out, placing the pattern pieces lovingly on the carefully chosen and expensive fabric, working through the myriad snafus and mishaps of sewing it all up and then... - and then the dress doesn't fucking fit. It doesn't fit at all and looks nothing like that perfect dress you'd been imagining through your many hours of labor.

It's my theory that the beginning sewer can be relieved of this pain and frustration with the simple dirndl skirt! You only need one measurement and you're on your way to having loads of skirts that actually fit and look just as you'd imagined! While the dirndl skirt is a perfect, simple way to learn basic and advanced sewing skills (and have an actual wearable piece of clothing) it doesn't have to be simple! I want to show beginners (and, well, ALL sewers) how to elevate the dirndl to new levels and even make your own version of expensive designer skirts.
